This course is designed to teach 4-H faculty how to design and conduct an evaluation of a newly developed or modified 4-H curriculum.

In this 3-module asynchronous training course conducted over a 6-week period, students will learn the basics of program evaluation as it relates to Extension work. Specifically, students will learn strategies and techniques for conducting both formative and summative evaluations and methods of reporting evaluation results to stakeholders. Each module will consist of educational resources for review, small group assignments, individual reflections and a quiz. The training course will be graded on a Pass/Fail basis with Pass indicating mastery and Fail indicating non-mastery. In order for this training to count as a substitute for the 2nd required extension course (HRE 7622) for the Promotion and Tenure process, a student must receive a Passing grade.
